Maximo® Services Upgrade Services Assessment and Planning
 
 
 

Every organisation that plans Maximo upgrades will initially have to answer these key questions:

  • Should we upgrade, to which version, and when?
  • How much will it cost?
  • How long will the migration last, and will it have an impact on the working process?


These basic questions are addressed by the Upgrade Assessment Report. The report is designed to provide you with:

  • A high-level understanding of next-generation of Maximo technology provided by our analysts.
  • Overview of the client's current Maximo implementation.
  • Outline of the upgrade project.
  • Budgetary estimates of upgrade time scale and costs.
The Upgrade Assessment includes four stages:
A one-day session with administrators and key users led by one of our experienced consultants, discussing the following: Maximo architecture, functionality, comparison between current and new versions, and client-specific issues
The findings of the investigation will include an outline of modules in use and an outline of system changes. It will also cover other relevant installation-specific issues such as data, existing interfaces, additional Maximo products and add-ons.
We document these findings to provide a detailed report which will include a breakdown of tasks, estimate of effort, time-scales and costs
Our consultant will present this report to your project management team and any other key stakeholders you wish to involve. We will explain the report findings, discuss its implications with you and raise any specific issues relating to your company.
